I will say...the diffused lightbox has really helped on my picture taking ability...and this setup cost me nothing...(though you may need to buy 2 to 3 lamps)

I raided common items from the house...

1)a Large Water Jug...you could easily get by with a Gallon Water or Milk Jug...though Larger is better in this regard...
2)a bit of tissue paper-for the front...
3)a printed backdrop...
4)2 to 3 lamps(I'm using 65W Reveal flood lights).

I'm going to buy one more lamp to sit on the top of the jug and point down...
